No: Even a casual encounter can cause transmission of the coronavirus. A cough or a sneeze especially can project the virus within droplets of nasal mucus or saliva to anyone within a 6-9 ft radius. Wearing masks helps prevent this transmission if both parties are wearing a mask.

Not accurate: Unfortunately, someone could sneeze or cough at you directly and the virus may be transmitted.
