COVID transmission: Brand new research shows that people become infectious 2-5 days after exposure and symptoms start 2-4 days after that. These are averages; the exact times vary pretty widely. The main point is that transmission starts before symptoms begin. If you are close to someone who might have been exposed, play it safe and immediately do your best to isolate yourself from that person for 2 weeks.
