COVID high risk: People with "serious underlying conditions" especially if poorly controlled are at higher risk for severe disease if they are exposed. Best bet is to minimize your risk of exposure. Risk is there.: But you are under 60 , so it decreases your risk getting hit by corona virus. Risk is probably less if your diabetes is controlled with diet and risk is more if your diabetes is controlled with pills or insulin. Some numbers of dead in the State of Louisiana showed that people died from covid 19 also had diabetes.
