My son is 7 years old and normally gets snotty and chesty at this time of the year due to the changing seasons. he has been snotty for a few days but it has now started to go to his chest. he normally gets a prescription for cortisone for his chest.

Virtual consultation: History of allergies and/or asthma are more likely than infection if there is no fever. In either case, rinse nasal passages with saline to reduce post nasal drip. He may need Albuterol inhaler to treat bronchospasm. Avoid pollen, dust, mold, smoke and other allergens.
