I'm experiencing heartburn, what can i take that's safe during early pregnancy?

Pregnancy heartburn : Heartburn is common in pregnancy. All patients with heartburn should try eating frequent smaller meals, don’t lie down for a couple of hours after meal, avoid irritating intake like spicy food and alcohol and raise upper end of your bed when sleeping. Over the counter antacids like Tums that contain calcium carbonate are considered safe if needed.
