Are there any long term consequences of being strangled? i was in a fight a couple years back and couldn't move my neck for a couple of days. recovered after a week. neck feels okay now, just sore sometimes.

Strangulation: An MRI of neck and cervical spine would demonstrate if there was any additional damage. In severe strangulation you can damage the trachea ( windpipes) there are about 50 small muscles in the neck area and bones like hyoid bone that could be damaged ,as well as vessels like the carotids.
