I'm getting the mesh removed , had a umbilical hernia repair, but the doctor says it won't be a big opening and he will leave it opne n it will close by it self. why can't he just stich it. opening wound worries me alot?

Cleaner: Often it is better to have a wound heal from the bottom up rather than chance trapping an infection by closing the wound. Discuss concerns with your physician they should be able to educate and reassure you!!
