Leukocytosis: Neutropenia or low blood count is more likely to be a problem. Leukocytosis typically means things are working. Some drugs can effect white cell adhesion to wall of blood vessels thus increasing number in blood stream.

No: Leukocytosis refers to a *rise* in the number of white blood cells, which are part of the body’s immune system that help the body fight infection. Leukocytosis usually happens because a person is sick, but some medications may also cause it. When they do, it does not mean that the medication is causing an infection (although the person may be infected unrelatedly).
