Yes: Self isolation is usually recommended for someone who has had exposure to COVID 19, a positive test, or symptoms. That person should be in a room by themselves with food brought to the doorway , careful sanitizing of anything touched, no shared utensils/cups/towels/etc, masks worn when others nearby

Yes - if: If you had a positive COVID contact and they did not OR if you have COVID symptoms and they do not- then please isolate even if in same house.
