Dr. James Ferguson
Pediatrics 46 years experience
Safety is relative: It appears that kids would be more at risk of injury or death traveling to or from a sports event in a vehicle. Covid-19 to date has acted more like a cold in kids than the adults who can get quite ill. As many as 50% or more of the infected kids will never show any symptoms but can spread it to others.
Dr. Elisa Ribelles-medhus
Internal Medicine 41 years experience
Risk to others: This doctor is exactly right. Although a child might not have symptoms, he or she can carry the virus to other people and this is especially worrisome when they visit grandma and grandpa
