Depends...: Sometimes it takes time before you become symptomatic, if in fact infected with covid-19. On average, 5-6 days before you become symptomatic, but can take up to 14 days. I would recommend to NOT share drinks with anyone especially during this current pandemic.

COVID 19 concerns: Average incubation period for COVID-19 is 2 to14 days (but as little as 1 day), median time is 4-5 days. You have more chance of having an accurate test result if you have symptoms or you wait at least a few days after COVID 19 contact. The “Three C’s” to avoid: Closed spaces with poor ventilation. Crowded places with many people nearby. Close-contact settings, such as close-range conversation.

During the current COVID 19 crisis, it is best to maintain social distancing at the table and with surrounding tables. Many restaurants in CA offer outdoor dining. Wear a mask when not eating. See CDC guidelines and recommendations. Please follow up with your M.D., and watch for signs of cough, fever and shortness of breath. If these occur, follow up is indicated.
