A member asked:

Hello, i had a chest cold about a week and a half/2 weeks ago, and i still have mucus in my chest causing occasional coughing and burns when i workout. is this something i should go to a doctor for or should i wait it out? chest congestion

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: If you're experiencing feverishness, sweats, discolored sputum, wheezing, chest pain or shortness of breath then I recommend seeing a physician. Otherwise this could be remnants of bronchial irritation after a viral upper respiratory tract infection and it will gradually resolve
