Yes, it is safe: take it daily, thru the remaining course of the pregnancy, to reduce risk of an active lesion at the time of actual labor. Be sure your doctor knows the status of any potential lesion. An active herpes outbreak during labor, is an indication for cesarean delivery, to decrease risk for the baby.
