Depends on diagnosis: A person in her mid-70's who is low on a needed nutrient needs a diagnosis. The reason for her nutrient deficit, regardless of the nutrient, determines how long the treatment is for, and what the treatment is. For example, if she is low on B12 because she never eats any foods with B12, then after her shots, she should be able to prevent the problem if she eats B12 in her diet and absorbs it.
