Its the first time that im bleeding on the estimated day of my ovulation. dark brown/red blood when i wiped. did not miss my period, normal bleeding. what could cause it?

Could be many: things, irregular ovulation, break through bleeding from hormonal contraceptive, thyroid issues, for example. In humans, ovulation does not cause bleeding.
