Two weeks ago, on wednesday, i lost my voice. by that weekend i was coughing up dark and thick phlem. i felt i was improving last week but today woke with a fever and the roof of my mouth hurts. any advice? might be sick?

Fever=illness: I would recommend that you be seen by your doctor. The current fever and mouth pain may be unrelated to your initial cough and laryngitis. If so, it may be a new infection, possibly viral. However, a sinus infection could also present this way. Your doctor can examine you and determine the cause for you and recommend proper treatment.
