What is the latest development for better treatment and possible cure for copd ?

Copd: There is no "cure" for copd, and unfortunately the medications for it can improve symptoms and reduce exacerbations but do not convincingly improve survival. Smoking cessation is by far the most important step in management. There are some new medications out, but nothing that really modifies the disease. Implantable "coils" are being studied and may offer improvement in symptoms for some.
