Very: Avoidance is best! older persons with surgery, trauma, sedentary lives are at risk. Once it happens, there are good treatment regimens!

DVT and elderly: DVT at any age is serious. In an elderly person there are other associated risks such as immobility and associated medical problems. It is sometimes difficult for an elderly person to take and stay on blood thinners. Despite all of this, it is possible to treat elderly persons safely for DVT.
