Influenza testing can be done; treatment is available during the first few days of symptoms. This year continues the Covid-19 pandemic, so possible exposure to Covid-19 would mean added testing.

Most likely viral: Flu like symptoms are usually caused by viral agents such as influenza. If the fever persists or there is no improvement in a few days, please have them see a physician.
