Epidural: Indications for epidural steroid include the following: lumbosacral disc herniation, spinal stenosis with radicular pain, compression fracture of lumbar spine with radicular pain, facet or nerve root cyst with radicular pain, postherpetic neuralgia. Typically though this would not be considered until a trial of physical therapy.
