I just had an epidural spinal injection. the dr. said my back prolbum was mostly caused by stress. does he mean emotional or physical and what fan i do to lower said stress?

Exercise: I'm puzzled by your question. Epidurals for back pain are typically performed when there is a specific anatomic derangement or injury that is resulting in pressure being exerted upon either the spinal cord, or one of the radicular nerves that emerge on each side of the spinal cord at each vertebral level. I suspect your doctor was explaining how emotional stress can aggravate your physical pain.

Sounds like: Why would this doctor do an epidural injection if the thought was your pain was due to stress? Sounds like you need another opinion to get a better diagnosis and alleviate the stress that was just caused to you.
