Time for the doctor: Urine should not have blood in it, and peeing should not hurt or sting. A person with red color or blood in her urine needs a doctor's evaluation. If one's primary care doctor is not available, her Ob-Gyn doctor may be able to help, or the ER doctor certainly can help. There may be a urine infection or other medical problems. Bloody urine is NOT always due to infection.
