Doctor can examine: For normal healthy people, over-the-counter medicines for colds are ok to use as long as one follows the labels' instructions, and is not using more than one medicine of each type. Fever/pain reducers include Tylenol and Motrin. Cough meds include Robitussin (some people use DM, some avoid it). If more than mild facial, sinus, or other symptoms, one should see her primary care doctor in-person.
