Most older, not all: So far, the large majority of deaths from novel coronavirus (nCoV) have been in older persons and those with other serious health problems, like COPD, serious heart disease, dementia, etc. However, infection also can be very dangerous and even fatal in otherwise healthy, young persons -- including Dr. Li Wenliang, one of the first Chinese doctors to alert the public about nCoV.

How long can the coronavirus survive on someone who has passed away? What are the risks to the families of the deceased, and families of those that are morticians and coroners?

Respiratory : Corona virus is spread through respiratory droplets and as dead people do not breathe, they do not spread the virus. Motitians and coroners practice universal precautions and that would prevent spread of infection.

Don't freak out !: Rest, hydration, acetaminophen, decongestant, cough med & nasal saline irrigation may help mild symptoms. Make sure to quarantine. Get emergency care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or confusion. In answer to your question - the majority of people with COVID 19 have mild disease (and many are asymptomatic). So, it is statistically not likely you would die.
