How many days of spotting before period is normal? i thought was period as was very light bloody cervical fluid or spotting for 4 days then i get stringy discharge 10 days before period after spotting. was it period or period coming? i have pcos.

With PCOS: a wide variation is normal. Ovulation varies widely, hence the cycle variations. Treatment can improve ovulation if you wish to conceive. Birth control pills can regulate periods if not wishing to be pregnant.
