I have been doing a school project for the impact of taking antibiotics when they are not needed and i want to know, are they able to create resistant bacteria from the very first time they are misused or more than once is needed for severe cases?

Resisitance: Most antibiotic resistance does not happen with a one time use. Typically it is something seen in a population of people who have received and type of antibiotic repeatedly. In my local area Levaquin has been come resistant to multiple bugs secondary to use.
