That's not good: A call to one's primary care doctor can sort things out, if young and healthy such as under age 30. Otherwise, a person usually goes to the ER. An adult with chest pain or palpitations gets seen in the ER to be checked right away for a heart problem. That means not waiting at home to see if it turns into a bad heart attack. As the saying goes, "better safe than sorry."
