What causes bone spur on septum? also, would this contribute to my breathing stuffy issues? i do not have headaches. only major stuffy nose

The sepum is a ...: Wall that separates the two nasal passages. It develops during formation of the face from several different cartilage plates that come together and fuse. It is at these fusion points that spurs occur, probably from overlap and protrusion laterally. As the cartilage ossifies in these areas bony spurs are formed.They sometimes block airflow but most of the time they're not problematic.

Congenital: You were probably born like that or there is the possibility of trauma. If there are symptoms like nasal obstruction, snoring or recurrent sinusitis, have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.
