I recently had an infection on my leg and i was prescribed mupirocin ointment usp,2 %. my question is can i use this antibiotic on my face as well? i believe i have a little infection, possibly impetigo.

However, if you are seeing such areas show up in a variety of sites your doc may need to prescribe an oral medication that will eradicate the germ from your system. People often carry staph colonies in their nasal passages where the will persist until treated.
