My brother (cystic fibrosis) is on ecmo and antibiotics for his pseudomonas. his secretion is high and his lungs don't work on their own so they can't take him off ecmo. while on it, he is not eligible for lung transplantation. what can be done?

ICU: The ICU physicians will try to control the infection and to use ECMO to assist in oxygenating his blood. His management is being closely followed in an ICU setting.
