A couple years ago, my dogs got in really really bad fights.. like awful fights. well i just came across a video while scrolling and it was of two dogs fighting and killing each other.. and i immediately started crying and shaking. could i have ptsd?

Labels: The term PDSD is a term for those whose past experiences lead to mental trauma & later reliving fixations by a common trigger. One could loosely apply the same term to events that trigger a "re-living" of past traumatic events & impaired response, You could apply the same label for any harsh event in life, but to able it PTSD, a term most often applied to stress of war is a bit of a stretch.

Possibly: That sort of thing is very distressing, Unless you are having ongoing thoughts and memories regularly is is probably not formal ptsd, but not surprising a reminder would distress you, If you find ongoing distress I would suggest getting involved with counseling to work on processing the memories so that you are no longer distressed on a regular basis. best Wishes
