I have been experiencing a sharp stabbing pain in my chest (under my right breast) for about 5 days. pain occurs suddenly, lasts a minute. had a laparascopic cycstectomy and appendisectomy a month ago.

Need to see surgeon: You need to see the surgeon who performed the previous procedure one month ago to make sure there are not any complications.

Related or not?: May be related to procedure you had or may be separate. Need evaluation with CXR, ECG and exam to get better idea of actual cause. Would speak to surgeon and get at least those basic tests to pinpoint cause.
