Nobody really knows: Since breastfeeding moms have been, and usually still are, taking prenatal vitamins or once-a-day multivitamins, having vitamin deficiencies during breast feeding is unlikely. Taking any well-known brand of multivitamin should be safe, but nobody knows for sure because nobody is out there testing all the thousands of brands and combinations of vitamins. The same uncertainty exists for herbals.

Commercial vitamins: Ordinary vitamins at normal doses should not pose a difficulty. Congratulations on continuing to breastfeed.
