A member asked:

I have an infection in my finger. hot to the touch and it is throbbing. been on me for about a week. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Examine on video, or: Examine in-person. A doctor needs to evaluate a finger infection or a hand infection. Oral antibiotics are the treatment, unless the infection is worse than mild or moderate. Some such infections come after skin wounds. That means a patient needs to be up to date on his tetanus vaccine. Each case is somewhat different, so a doctor's help is important.
