probably very unlikely. Make sure you wash your hands well when you have exposed yourself to possible infection. Good Luck

Given that herpetic whitlow is so rare, is it more difficult to contract an HSV infection in your finger and thats why its rare? What would you have to do to get herpetic whitlow, is it as simple as just touching a sore?
Had blisters on my fingers that I assumed be Herpetic Whitlow. Everywhere I touched during outbreak, mainly my face, ears, scalp and nose seem to have burning sensation. Did I transmit to other parts of my body? How long are my fingers infectious?
