Maybe/not: The initial year or so menses has the potential to be irregular in interval, duration & flow. Once the kid starts releasing eggs with each cycle the pattern tends to become regular. The BC pill, originally developed for treating such issues is occasionally used now to pace menses & control excess flow when it becomes too burdensome & triggers anemia.
