A member asked:

I've read that c diff spores can remain on objects and surfaces for up to 5 months. so, is it safe to assume that any object or surface is completely c diff free after 5 months and there's no need to disinfect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Disinfect: Since CDiff spores can last much longer than 5 months in soil, I would still disinfect an infected inanimate surface before concluding that spores have expired. Why not take that extra precaution?
