A member asked:

Good day i have been experiencing a very sharp, burning pain in my upper abdominal area, along with bloating and vomiting. i have had an ulcer before but it was treated with antibiotics. can you kindly give me some advice to what this could be?

Doctor can recheck: It is not normal for anybody's upper abdomen to be bloated, firm, or hurt. Pain means something is wrong. In the upper abdomen are the stomach, liver, gall bladder, spleen, and parts of other organs such as the small intestine. A primary care doctor or a GI (gastrointestinal) doctor can help figure out the problem. A person can be retested for the H. pylori ulcer-causing bacteria.
