A member asked:

I have a swollen lymph node on one side of my neck. i have a sinus infections and taking antibiotics. will the swollen lymph node disappear once my sinus infection is cured?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

If node is related: If related to a current infection, a swollen node will get smaller the weeks after the infection resolves. The node helps us, so should not "disappear." Swollen nodes in the anterior neck, even without a sore throat, can be strep throat. Other causes of such symptoms include cold and flu viruses, pollen allergies, stomach acid reflux, etc... Cold viruses typically go away in about 5-15 days.
