Retesting: for type of infection and checking all possible triggers for recurrence. Such as hormone abnormalities, reinfection from sexual partner, pre diabetes. Possibly staying on appropriate medication for a few weeks, as an option to prevent rapid recurrence.

Most repeat infections may be introduced from your sexual partner or partners, so it is an ongoing problem. See your gyn physician for an exam and culture for treatment.
