A member asked:

My retinoid seems to be causing my eyebrow hair to fall out (no abnormal bloodwork/thyroid/etc.). i've tried placing the product away from them, and "sealing" them off with a petrolatum gel, but nothing is working. any advice?

Dermatologist helps: If a person has what she feels are side effects or overly strong effects of a medication used on skin, hair, or nails, the specialist who can advise most completely would be her dermatologist. If a referral from her primary care doctor is first needed (for insurance reasons), she can see her primary care doctor first. Maybe there is an alternative to the retinoid.
