Both of my parents have hepatitis c, what are the chances that i also have it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe 5%?: If your mother had hepatitis c when you were born, there is about a 5% chance a mother can pass hcv to a child at birth. There is a small risk that household members could transmit hcv because they share personal items that have small amounts of blood like toothbrushes or clippers. So it would be best to get tested.
