A member asked:

Can you get genitalia warts without any sextual contact of any kind?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely if ever: Genital warts are strains different from other types of skin warts. They are rarely passed during birth from an infected mother to baby but these appear within 2 yrs on the genital skin. They would be treated or gone otherwise within a few years. The strains are site specific & pass during sexual contact. The germs do not pass casually like common bacteria through objects or passive contact.
