I started having pain in my ear that lead to hearing loss, fluid, pressure,and itchiness. it's been 2 weeks and it's gotten a lot better. can this heal on its own? i'd like to avoid the doctors if possible.

There may be wax and debris in the ear canal that should come out. Sometimes, wax causes no symptoms for many years until one unlucky day there is too much wax and blocks hearing, or there is a canal skin infection (called swimmer's ear).
