Doctor can evaluate: A person with stomach cramps and stomach flu can doctor if symptoms are worse than mild and temporary. Usually, one can expect 2-3 days of symptoms, and then recovery over another 2-3 days. If there is a lot of pain or fever, or blood or mucus in the diarrhea, her doctor should evaluate and maybe recommend meds to decrease bowel movements and spasms.
