No real guarantees: Contagiousness varies among different "stomach viruses" and among different people, so is not easily predictable. However, one can feel safe if it is 1 week after exposure and one still is well; or one can feel safe if going to contact a person who's been well for already 1 week. If really unlucky, a person can still come down with the illness.
