My daughter got a stomach virus a couple weeks ago and got one again. she gave it to me both times and not my husband even though she threw up on him, while i tried to stay away. i wash my hands like crazy/ bleached the house. what is wrong with me?

It is often not possible to say why some people get sick after an exposure and others don’t. A virus can get into your body by other routes besides hands (although hand hygiene helps prevent infections for sure). But, any mucous membrane like eyes and mouth or a break in the skin can be an avenue for viruses to get in. Sometimes, a decrease in immunity can be part of the problem.
