Hi there my wife has got a discomfort in chest area . has been to doctors around here . they say its acid . on second course of omeprazole but no change . also has a lazy colon and sometimes abdominal pain in lower areas . no heartburn?

Gastroenterologist: She should be evaluated by a gastroenterologist and if she's already seen one, have her get a second opinion from a different gastroenterologist. Instead of acid reflux she may have an inflamed esophagus. Has she had a gastroscopy? If not, I highly recommend one. My sense is she also has irritable bowel syndrome with constipation,mainly. The gastroenterologist will also address this.
