I am 8w5d pregnant. an er do in er medicine did an abdominial ultrasound on me. she didn't zoom in the monitor-i just saw a dark sac & nothing inside it.i asked if there was heartbeat?she said it's too early to tell.is she qualified to do ultrasound?

DO : A doctor of osteopathic medicine has additional training compared to medical doctors. There is additional training in manual medicine and additional training to understand the entire person including social, emotional and spiritual. Ultrasound is a normal procedure done by emergency room doctors. It may be possible to see a heartbeat at 8 weeks.
