Recheck with doctor : Scabies is a mite or bug that burrows under the top layer of skin. The mite causes severe itching. The medication kills the mite, but then you have a dead bug under the top layer of skin. That’s why there can be itching and bumps for a couple of weeks after killing the mites. However, one must check with the doctor to be sure there are no living mites, or additional diagnoses such as eczema.
